Three new constructions

For 2027 we are adding three cloths above 18 oz: a 19 oz right-hand twill with a rope-dyed weft, a 20.5 oz slub with a sulphur-black bottom, and a 23 oz loomstate construction for workwear makers. All are woven on our 30-inch shuttle looms with a red-line selvedge.

Three new constructions above 18 oz, and what they ask of your sewing line.

What they ask of your line

Heavyweight denim changes the sewing room. Expect to move up to size 18–21 needles, use a heavier core-spun thread, and allow extra time at the waistband and belt loops where layers stack. Our sizing note on 21 oz cloth covers the details.

Development slots

Development samples for the 2027 programme are available now with our usual ten-day turnaround. Reserve a beam slot with the sales desk if you plan to run a heavyweight capsule next season.
